WORK WITH US

Stories from the places worth the trip

Flow State Review produces films and stories with resorts, operators and destinations. The work is clearly labelled, and it is always kept separate from our independent guides.

An independent guide to mountain experiences

Flow State Review helps people discover and research extraordinary outdoor experiences through trusted information, authentic storytelling and detailed experience guides. We are an experience-discovery platform: not a travel agent and not an equipment marketplace. We don't take bookings or payments. People research on Flow State Review, then contact the operator directly or send us a Plan Your Adventure inquiry.

Every profile and guide is checked against official sources. Payment doesn't change what we publish about an operator, where it appears in a list or what we conclude.

Who we cover

  • Heli-skiing operators
  • Cat-skiing operators
  • Backcountry touring guides and touring lodges
  • Ski resorts
  • Snowshoe and snowmobile tours
  • Tourism and destination organizations

Coverage today

  • 90 published operator profiles in British Columbia: 34 heli-skiing, 19 cat-skiing and 33 backcountry touring (including 25 touring lodges), plus snowshoe and snowmobile tours.
  • Resort Guide: 53 ski resorts across British Columbia, Alberta and the US Pacific Northwest, with verified mountain stats and season pass information. 8 have full guides.
  • Destination guides for Revelstoke and Nelson.
  • Plan Your Adventure: a free inquiry service for people planning a trip. It is an inquiry, not a booking.

Our coverage is winter-first. We add a new kind of guide only when there is verified content to fill it.

Films and stories, made properly

We produce professional films and written stories with operators, resorts and destinations. They show the terrain, the people and how a trip actually runs. Production is by Solos Productions.

This is paid work, and we label it that way. Every film or story made for a business carries the label "Paid content — Produced for [business name]." wherever it appears.

This is a new service. No films or stories are published on Flow State Review yet.

Clearly labelled, every time

Commercial work on Flow State Review uses two labels, and they always appear right next to the link or content they describe:

  • Commission link — Flow State Review may earn a commission from eligible bookings.
  • Paid content — Produced for [business name].

Editorial reviews, rankings and ordinary listings are never for sale. Operator profiles follow the same standards whether or not a business works with us. Working with us doesn't buy a better position, a review, or changes to what our guides say. Read our full editorial policy.

What a defined partnership includes

Each project is scoped and agreed in writing before work starts. Depending on that scope, it can include:

  • A scoped film or story project. Format, length, locations, shoot dates and review rounds are agreed up front. Production is by Solos Productions.
  • A factual accuracy review. Your team checks the finished piece for safety and factual accuracy before it is published.
  • Labelled placement on Flow State Review. The finished piece runs on Flow State Review next to your existing operator or resort profile and is marked "Paid content — Produced for [your business name]."
  • Usage rights for your own channels. You can use the finished piece on your website, social channels and email, on the terms set out in the agreement.
  • Accurate profile maintenance. We keep your profile checked against your official sources and update it when you send us changes. We offer this to every operator we cover, whether or not they work with us.

What we don't offer: guaranteed bookings, audience numbers, views or search positions, and we don't sell reviews or listing order.

Referral relationships

In future, some operators and Flow State Review may agree a referral arrangement. Under one, Flow State Review may earn a commission on eligible bookings made through our links. We'll do this only where terms are agreed in writing, and every such link will carry the label "Commission link — Flow State Review may earn a commission from eligible bookings." A referral arrangement doesn't change our editorial coverage or ordinary listings.
