These terms apply when you use flowstatereview.com. By using the site, you agree to them.

Who runs this site

What the site is

Flow State Review is an experience-discovery platform. We help people discover and research outdoor experiences through operator profiles, the Resort Guide, destination guides and storytelling. Our earlier Gear Guide stays online as an archive.

Flow State Review is not a travel agent. We don't take bookings or payments for trips, and we don't arrange travel. A Plan Your Adventure inquiry is a request for information. It is not a reservation, and it doesn't hold a place with any operator. Dates, programs, prices, availability and bookings stay with the operator or resort, under their own terms.

Information and advice

  • Experiences, resorts and passes: we don't publish live snow, lift status, prices or availability. Check the operator's or resort's official website.
  • Mountain safety: guided and backcountry travel carry real risk. Nothing on this site replaces training, avalanche education, a qualified guide and good judgement. Nothing on this site is professional safety, medical or legal advice.
  • Gear Guide archive: gear information came from manufacturer and retailer sources and may be out of date. Fit suggestions don't replace an in-person fitting. Shop listings show where a product was listed, not what a shop has today. Retailers own their own inventory, prices, transactions, appointments, returns and warranties.

Editorial independence

Payment never decides a conclusion, a ranking or the order of results. Editorial reviews and ordinary listings are never for sale. We say how something was tested, or say plainly that we haven't tested it.

Right now, nothing published on Flow State Review is paid for. If that changes, commercial content will carry one of two labels, shown right next to the link or content: "Commission link — Flow State Review may earn a commission from eligible bookings." or "Paid content — Produced for [business name]." See our editorial policy.

Other websites

Links to shops, retailers, resorts, pass sellers, operators and hotels take you to websites we don't control. Your purchase, booking or enquiry there is between you and that business, under their terms.

Your free profile

  • A profile is free, with no payment step and no password. You sign in with a link we email you.
  • Keep access to your email account secure, because anyone who can open your sign-in emails can sign in as you.
  • You can stop using your profile at any time, and you can ask us to delete it (see the Privacy page).

Using the site fairly

Please don't:

  • send false, abusive or spam messages through our forms,
  • try to break, overload or get around the site's security,
  • copy large parts of the site's content for republishing without permission.

We may block access, or remove a profile, that is used to misuse the site.

Corrections

If something on a page is wrong, use "Suggest a correction" on that page or the Contact page. An editor reviews every correction before anything changes.

Content and trademarks

The writing, photos and design on Flow State Review belong to Flow State Review or to the people who gave us permission to use them. Brand names, product names and logos belong to their owners. We use them only to identify products and businesses.

Limits of responsibility

We work hard to keep the site accurate and useful, but it's provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses that come from relying on information on the site, or from your dealings with shops, resorts, operators or other businesses we link to.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
