Grouse Mountain

The Peak of Vancouver: the quickest way from the city to the slopes, about 15 minutes from downtown by the resort's count. You take the gondola up from North Vancouver instead of driving a mountain road. Grouse is made for skiing and snowboarding under the lights after work.

Trail map

We do not redraw resort maps. This is the mountain's own map, kept current by the resort.

Grouse also publishes a separate snowshoe trails map.

Terrain and ability

  • Beginner: one of the better local places to take a first lesson, with short lifts and clear learning terrain.
  • Intermediate: a modest set of groomed runs. Enough for an evening, less so for a full day of variety.
  • Advanced: limited. Skiers and snowboarders chasing steeps usually look to Cypress, Baker or Whistler.

Getting there

  • About 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver by the resort's count, then one of two lifts up the mountain: the Blue Grouse Gondola (opened December 2024) or the Red Skyride.
  • Transit access is good, which makes it the easiest option without a car.
  • Base parking is paid and limited on busy evenings.

Tickets and passes

  • Mountain admission includes the gondola. Lift access, night sessions and season passes are sold by the resort.
  • Some non-riding activities are bundled with admission. Check what is included before buying.

We do not list prices. Official tickets and passes →

Access for 2026/27: resort season pass

  • On the Ikon Pass only as a 2-day Bonus Mountain for 2026/27 (full Ikon Pass, blackout dates apply). Not on the Epic Pass.
  • Access here is the resort's own winter Early Bird Pass or a day ticket.

Official season passes

  • The winter season pass here is sold as an Early Bird Pass, in Unlimited and Weekday versions, with date restrictions on the weekday option.
  • Grouse also sells a year round Annual Pass+, which covers mountain admission and does not include skiing or snowboarding. Check which product you are buying.

Passes are sold by the resort, and we do not list prices or take a cut. Official season passes →
